- ALWAYS ask your host family before making after school plans.  Please provide your host family with the names, addresses and telephone numbers of the people you will be with.

- Please ask your host family for permission first before inviting friends to come over to your house.

- Please ask your host family before making a long distance phone call.  We advice you to buy your own calling card before making a long distant call or ask your family to assist you place collect call.  Keep in mind that making collect calls are more expensive than just buying a calling call.

- Everyone helps clean the house and do yard work - both men and women,  You are required to clean your own bedroom and bathroom each week.  Don't wait to be asked.  Always offer to help.  This will show your host family that you appreciate being a member of the family and that you are mindful of others.

- Please know that if your host family will be away  overnight and not able to take you due to school or other arrangement, you will be asked to stay with another homestay family.  STUDENT MAY NOT STAY IN THE HOME ALONE OVERNIGHT.

- Every homestay family has it's own rules.  Please follow your homestay family rules.

Your homestay family is your family here in the USA.  Please be open with them.  Talk to them.  If something is bothering you, take time to talk to them. They would want to know so they can help you. They care about you and want you to be successful.
